For all students
Many colleges and universities never charge an application fee; sometimes this offer is limited to applications submitted online.
Many colleges and universities waive application fees during College Knowledge Month (October). Some institutions use promo codes for their applications during this time.
For students from low-income families
All colleges and universities waive application fees throughout the year for low-income students. Participating institutions and campuses are part of the University of Minnesota, Minnesota State or the Minnesota Private College Council. High school counselors and college admission staff can help a student make these arrangements by using the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) Application Fee Waiver.
